Building with AI Agents is an online Turing College programme for people who want to turn a business problem into a working tool, dashboard or application. You learn to plan the work, direct AI coding agents, test the result and deploy it. No previous coding experience is required. The funded programme is taught in German or English and runs for 3 months at 30 hours a week.

No. You describe what you want, direct an AI coding agent and check its work. You will encounter code and learn the technical concepts needed to understand and test your projects.

You start with a problem from your own work and finish with a tool that solves it. Along the way, you build a web tool, an app your team can log into, an AI tool that answers questions from your own documents, and an online shop with payments. Your final project solves a problem you choose.

One-to-one project reviews, weekly stand-ups and access to Open Sessions support your learning. Funded learners also attend workshops and get a Premium seat on Claude's Team plan for the course. Plan usage limits apply.

It can, if your advisor approves it. Building with AI Agents is AZAV-certified, so the Agentur für Arbeit (often called the Arbeitsamt) or the Jobcenter can cover your tuition with a Bildungsgutschein. Residence in Germany alone does not establish eligibility. Speak to your advisor before the course starts.

Possibly. Funding may be considered if you are at risk of losing your job, your fixed-term contract is ending, your industry is changing or you are affected by reduced working hours. Your advisor will assess your situation and decide whether the training is necessary.

First, apply to Turing College. Admissions reviews your goals and, if there's a potential match, invites you to a 20 to 30-minute conversation about your project, available time and funding. We then provide the course information for your funding application. Book an appointment with your Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter, and take your CV, relevant job adverts and a clear explanation of the work you want to do next. Your advisor makes the final decision, and our admissions team will confirm the next available start date.
What does the Bildungsgutschein cover?

If your application is approved for this programme, the Bildungsgutschein can cover the programme tuition. Your voucher will state the approved training goal, duration and other conditions. Ask your advisor which additional costs, if any, are covered in your case.

The funded programme runs full time for three months, with 30 hours of study a week on a fixed weekday schedule. Some course documents say 40 academic hours a week: that is the same time, counted in academic hours (Unterrichtseinheiten) of 45 minutes each. If you need to study alongside work, self-paid study takes around 12 hours a week over 3.5 to 4.5 months.

After completing the required programme, you receive a Turing College certificate for Building with AI Agents. The Germany-funded certificate records 520 academic hours (Unterrichtseinheiten).

Should I choose Building with AI Agents or AI Engineering?
Choose Building with AI Agents if you work in areas such as marketing, sales, consulting, product, operations or finance, and want to build your own tools for problems in your work, without sending them to a developer. Choose AI Engineering if you already code in Python or JavaScript and want to build, evaluate and deploy LLM applications and AI agents yourself. Both programmes include practical projects and career support.

Yes. In the fourth sprint, you learn to automate recurring work with Claude Code. Across the programme, you build tools that handle repetitive tasks for you, such as a dashboard that brings your data together or an AI tool that answers questions from your own documents. That means you can do work yourself that used to need a developer, analyst or automation specialist.

What is agentic coding, and how is it different from vibe coding?
Agentic coding means giving an AI agent a goal and letting it do the building work, while you decide what to build and check that it works. Vibe coding usually means prompting an AI tool until something appears to work. Building with AI Agents teaches you a clear process: decide what the tool needs to do, give the agent the right context, review and test the result, and keep your data and your app secure. You get one-to-one feedback as you practise, so you can explain, check and improve what you build.
