How learning works at Turing College
Turing College offers two learning models: flexible asynchronous learning for self-payers and intensive synchronous training with government funding in Germany. Both use practical sprints and real-world projects; the government-funded programme offers more 1:1 mentor support and synchronous learning supervision.
Two learning models

Eligible jobseekers in Germany may receive full programme funding through a Bildungsgutschein.
Employees may qualify for employer-supported training funding through QCG and also receive synchronous learning support.

Our application process has two simple steps. First, tell us about your background and answer two short questions about your motivation and goals — our admissions team reviews every application personally and replies within 24 hours on working days. If the program is a good match, we’ll invite you to a 20–30 minute consultation where you can ask anything, go over your financing options, and decide together whether it’s the right next step.

Learning groups
Learn in a fixed group of up to 12 participants with assigned mentors. The shared learning day creates continuous peer contact, while differentiated support helps learners work through exercises at different speeds.

Learning 📚
The synchronous model is an intensive three-month full-time programme. You learn Monday–Friday during core learning hours of 09:00–16:30 in a fixed group of up to 12 learners with assigned mentors supporting you throughout.
The curriculum is organised into practical sprints that combine learning, project work and feedback.
Pay for skills, not content
We cut through the noise of bootcamps by providing you with real-life skills by maximizing hours of practice and personal feedback.
The programmes use curated and custom-created material. Our content teams assemble the curriculum from carefully selected top resources on the web and update it regularly. Much of the content is not unique, but it works best.

Core learning hours: 09:00–16:30
Learning takes place Monday–Friday during core learning hours of 09:00–16:30. Mentors support you during this learning time; extra study outside the schedule is optional.
Join a supportive community
Your assigned mentor supports you during the learning day and can respond in real time. You also learn in a fixed group of up to 12 and can use the supervised community channel.
Virtual Classroom
A synchronous, mentor-led, lab-like online learning format. Each learner must log in and study actively during core learning hours unless they are in another scheduled learning event.
Stand-ups
Mandatory daily online meetings where learners discuss their progress with the mentor, share current challenges and set goals for the coming days.
Open Sessions
Open consultation hours in small groups on specific topics. This format lets you exchange ideas and clarify questions with industry-expert STLs (Senior Team Leads) other than your dedicated batch mentor. That gives a broader view of the same material, and of how specialists from different industries and companies approach a problem. The format is flexible: bring questions and discuss them in the way that works best for you.
Workshops
Depending on the programme, you can join workshops that go deeper on specific topics with industry experts and mentors. These are hands-on sessions where participants present solutions, ask questions and get targeted guidance.
Gain real-world work experience
Work on practical projects during supervised learning time, with fixed deadlines, workshops and personal feedback. Each measure includes four to five project-based assessments evaluated against standardised criteria.
Our learning method replicates the real-world tech team experience by providing personalized feedback on projects every week from senior colleagues and managers.
On top of technical feedback and guidance, you get 1on1 coaching aimed at helping you to become a better professional. No other online tech school offers such a model.
Junior Team Leads (JTLs)
Our top learners step up as Junior Team Leads, taking on leadership roles to support others. They know exactly what it’s like to be in your shoes and are here to provide day-to-day guidance, detailed feedback, and practical advice. JTLs help you move forward faster, stay motivated and make sure you’re never stuck wondering what to do next. They also earn scholarships for taking on these responsibilities.
Senior Team Leads (STLs)
Senior Team Leads are experienced professionals from companies such as IBM, Vinted and Nord Security. They guide your learning through group meetings, personalised feedback and 1:1 project reviews, helping you build skills that matter in real work.

Projects 📋
Complete four to five project-based assessments during the three-month measure. Projects have fixed deadlines, are reviewed 1:1 against standardised criteria and become evidence for your job portfolio.

Each project starts from a practical challenge rather than an isolated academic exercise. You finish with work you can explain, demonstrate and improve.

Practice-based learning: Project reviews
Learners apply theoretical knowledge immediately by working on practical projects that simulate real-world scenarios. Following how tech teams work, learning is organised in sprints.

Most sprints require submitting a project. You complete practical work that simulates a real professional situation and shows you can apply theory on the job. - 2

You present in a live 1:1 online session with an experienced mentor — the Senior Team Lead (STL). - 3

Programme duration and core learning hours
Our funded programmes AI Engineering, Building with AI Agents and AI for Business last 13 weeks, or about 3 months (520 teaching units). Funded participation is mandatory during core learning hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 16:30, and attendance is recorded.

Certificate
Successful participants receive a provider certificate and a reviewed project portfolio after completing the certified measure.
